In a beautiful expression of faith, compassion, and unity, youths from the One Nation Our People (ONOP) Youth Club commemorated the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by giving back to the community in Lautoka. The day was filled with heartfelt service as members distributed groceries to families in need and shared messages of love, wisdom, and mercy inspired by the Prophet’s life.
The celebration, held on the 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal, was not just about remembrance—it was a call to action. It was about living the teachings of the Prophet through deeds of kindness and compassion.
“Youth inspired by the Prophet’s legacy of mercy, justice, and love wanted to spread the joy of this blessed day,” said Abdul Zorhad, ONOP Youth President. “Together, we gathered early to recite the Mawlid and spent the day bringing smiles and support to families in our community.”
ONOP members were up before dawn, beginning their day with spiritual reflection and devotion. What followed was a practical application of their values—packing and delivering groceries, engaging with local residents, and reminding all of the light and message brought by the Prophet.
“As we reflect on his life, his message continues to resonate with people of all faiths across the globe.” — Abdul Zorhad, ONOP Youth President
The event highlighted Quranic teachings, such as:
“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah, you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.” — [Qur’an 33:21]
The ONOP Youth Club’s initiative was a shining example of the Prophet’s words:
“The best of people are those who bring the most benefit to the rest of mankind.” (At-Tabarani)
As an organization, ONOP is committed to empowering youth and nurturing compassionate leaders. Initiatives like these are not only moments of celebration—they are vital steps toward building a more united, caring, and just society.
Let’s Keep the Light Alive
At ONOP, we believe that the Prophet’s teachings are not confined to books and sermons—they live through our actions. Together, let us continue to honor his legacy by spreading love, compassion, and service throughout our communities.
